Safety Description:Poison by intravenous route. Moderately toxic by ingestion. Human systemic effects by ingestion: depressed renal function tests, urine composition changes, weight loss or decreased weight gain. Human female reproductive effects by an unreported route: delayed effects on newborn. An antibacterial agent. Experimental reproductive effects. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NO_x and Cl⁻.
