Safety Description:Poison by ingestion. Decomposes in air at 650°C to yield small amounts of cyanide. The presence of water or 1,3-dioxolane increase the amount of cyanide gas evolved. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of CN−, NOx, SOx, and Li2O. See also LITHIUM COMPOUNDS and THIOCYANATES.
