Safety Description:Probably a poison and irritant due to its reactivity. A very powerful oxidant. Explodes when heated or on contact with water or thionyl chloride. Violent or explosive reaction with organic matter (e.g., ethanol; stopcock grease; wood). The least explosive of the chlorine oxide compounds.
